Learn to make incredibly realistic paper flowers with artist Kristin Joiner from Bess Paper Goods. Using only paper and glue, this hands-on course will leave you with new skills and beautiful blooms perfect to give or keep! This course will focus on poppies—a classic summer flower! You’ll learn the basics of crepe paper, several methods for adding realistic coloration, and how to manipulate the paper to mimic the texture of petals.
All paper flower classes require a certain amount of manual dexterity. Severe arthritis or very long fingernails may make it difficult to follow along. This class is designed for adults. Older children may attend with a paying guardian, at the parents’ discretion. Please note we will be using hot glue, sharp scissors and other equipment that might not be suitable for children.
